• Gold Scheme: £195 + VAT per year (includes all delivery charges) 

• Platinum Scheme: £250 + VAT per year (includes tracked delivery and an annual on-site yard visit with a livery presentation, refreshments, and optional 15-minute 1:1 slots for liveries)

The scheme is founded on over 25 years of scientific research and applied field experience and reflects current best-practice principles for responsible parasite control and accreditation reflects a total risk approach to parasite management — moving beyond both routine worming and test-only decision making. 

  

Why Parasite Control Needs a Different Approach 

For many years, routine blanket worming was the norm. More recently, the industry has shifted towards testing before treating — an important step forward. 

However, testing alone is not parasite management. 

Relying solely on test results without considering wider risk factors has contributed to: 

• Continued anthelmintic resistance

• Increasing cases of worm disease in at-risk horses

The Intelligent Worming Guarantee 

Following an initial two-year fact-finding and monitoring phase, and where Intelligent Worming advice and protocols are followed, Accredited Yards are covered by the Intelligent Worming Guarantee: 

New anthelmintic resistance will not develop within the resident horse population. 

The guarantee is only possible because parasite management is handled as a whole-yard system, not as isolated individual decisions.
